Murudeshwara | ಮುರುಡೇಶ್ವರ


Murudeshwara - is a town in Bhatkal Taluk of Uttara Kannada District, Karnataka.
Famous for the world's Second-tallest Shiva statue(123 ft), after the tallest Kailashnath Mahadev Statue(143 ft) of Nepal. This statue and the temple is surrounded on three sides by Arabian Sea.
The temple also houses 137.5 ft, 20-storied Raja Gopura which is one among the tallest built in recent times.

This place is around 480 kms from Bangalore and around 150 kms from Mangalore City.
