Mullayanagiri | ಮುಳ್ಳಯ್ಯನಗಿರಿ


Mullayanagiri is the highest peak in Karnataka, India. 

Mullayanagiri is located at (13°23′26″N 75°43′18″E) in the Datta-Peeta / Baba-Budan-Giri Range of the Western Ghats of Chikmagalur Taluk. 
With a height of 1,930 metres (6,330 ft), it is the highest peak between the Himalayas and the Nilgiris.
Mullayanagiri is one of the best trekking place in Karnataka and South India.
There is a cave on the way & a Shiva Temple on top of the peak.

Total Distance from Bengaluru : 267 km.
Split Distance : Bangalore-187 km- Hassan -38 km - Belur - 27 km-Chikmagalur -15 km - Sarpadaari.
Trek Distance : Sarpadhari to Mullayanagiri peak is around 3 km. If you trek further to Bababudangiri then you need to trek 10 km more.
Time to trek : To reach Mullayanagiri peak with average speed it may require 3-4 hrs. If you are trekking to Bababudangiri then 6 to 8 hrs more required.
Best time to trek : September to February.
